Santoku Bog Oak Octagonal

This Santoku is a special variant with a oktagonal knifehandle.

The pith rays of the thousand-year-old bog oak shine through the handle of the Santoku. Only the smell betrays the natural and ecologically justifiable stabilisation with larch and spruce resin against moisture and odours.

The transversely satinized tin bronze forms the core between the San Mai 3LN blade and the East Style Oval handle designed as a real ferrule.

The diffusion zone between the sheath material and the cutting position of the blade allows an insight into the traditional forging process.

  • Handle made of european bog oak
  • Stainless steel plated with an in house forged carbon core
  • Cushion made of tin bronze
  • Blade length: 180-190 mm
  • Blade hardness: 63 HRC
  • Blade height: 51 mm
  • Blade thickness: 2.2 to 2.4 mm
  • Length of the handle: 143 mm
  • Weight: 200g
